Sunday 22nd October at Carrick Hill
The event on Sunday 22nd October will be open to the general public. Admission into the Carrick Hill grounds is free of charge but there will be a $3 entrance fee into the Festival area, with all proceeds going back into the Festival. Entrance into the house on the day will be at a reduced cost of $12.
There will be a book launch by bestselling authors Garth Nix and Sean Williams, author and illustrator presentations and activites,
The talks and activities will take place below at the stables and near the orchard. As well as scheduled talks, there will be activities hosted by authors and illustrators that will enable children to have an interactive experience. A bookseller will be on hand to sell books, which can then be signed. A percentage of proceeds from the book sales will go back into the Festival.
There will be seats available, but visitors are also encouraged to bring blankets and sit on the grass to enjoy the talks. Carrick Hill has a restaurant and marquee where visitors can purchase food and drinks, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
Please ensure that all children are accompanied by an adult.
